DOTA2 International Championship: Pro gaming group won $5 Million at stake!
This year marked a significant moment for The International and e-sports as a complete. ESPN broadcasted the event through ESPN three, and also a finals preview aired on ESPN two on Sunday. Greater than $10 million in prize money–the most-ever for an esports tournament–was up for grabs within the International as a direct outcome of fans acquiring the Compendium (which earns purchasers in-game things and contributed income to the prize pool).
